"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."          Psalm 1:1-3

Shall I Crucify Him?

Shall I crucify my Saviour,

When for me He bore such loss?

Shall I put to shame my Saviour?

Can I nail Him to the cross?

Are temptations so alluring,

Do earth's  pleasures so enthrall,

That I cannot love my Saviour

Well enough to leave them all?

'Twas my sins that crucified Him;

Shall they crucify Him yet?

Blackest day of nameless anguish,

Can my thankless soul forget?

Oh, the kindly hands of Jesus,

Pouring blessings on all men!

Bleeding, nail-scarred hands of Jesus,

Can I nail them once again?

Shall I crucify my Saviour,

Crucify my Lord again?

Once, oh, once I crucified Him,

Shall I crucify again?

Hey Friends!

We just want to praise God for His many wonderful blessings!  We got the new equipment we've been praying for: a new recording mixer and computer sound card!  Only by the leading and blessings from God are we able to run Word of Truth Radio!  " I can do all things through Christ which strenghteneth me." Phillipians 4:13

In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart.              John Bunyan

OUR NEED FOR JESUS

What changes took place after Adam & Eve sinned?

Romans 5:12      Romans 7:18-20

The human race was originally perfect and in total harmony with God.  Their thoughts were pure and their actions were holy, but through that first act of disobedience, selfishness and sin came into the picture.  Man's nature was weakened to the point that it was now impossible for him to resist the power of evil in his own strength

-------------------

Why did Adam & Eve hide from the Lord?

Genesis 3:10     Isaiah 59:1-2

Before their sin, Adam and Eve enjoyed a wonderful closeness with their Creator.  But after they sinned, it was no longer natural for them to find joy in holiness and so they tried to hide from the presence of God.  The Lord did not turn from them, but their sinned caused the separation.

--------------------

Can we become better people through our own abilities?

Isaiah 64:6     Job 14:4     Romans 8:7-8

It is impossible for us, by our own efforts, to escape a life of sin.  We all came into this world as natural born  sinner and we can't change on our own.  We have all inherited what the Bible calls  a  "carnal" mind or the "flesh", which is far from being pure and holy.  Will power, education, and human effort can only do so much.  All these things are powerless when it comes to overcoming sin.  There must be an outside power working in us in order for a true change to take place.

--------------------

What is the power that can save us from sin and eternal death?

John 1:29   Colossians 1:12-14   Romans 6:23

There is only one answer: Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.  Without him, we are doomed and without hope, but we can praise God that He gave His Son so that we can live!  The Bible says that we are all under the death penalty because of sin, but now we can be declared "not guilty" because of the love that Jesus has for us.

--------------------

Just how much do we need Jesus?

John 15:4-5    John 14:6   1 John 5:11-12

If we are without Jesus then we are without hope, but if we have an abiding relationship with Him then we have all the hope in the world.  The sin of Adam and Eve brought a separation between the human race and the Father, but Jesus has bridged the gap so that we can now have peace with God and access into His everlasting kingdom.

--------------------

What must happen in our lives to prepare us for heaven?

John 3:3     1 Corinthians 2:14   Galatians 2:20

Galatians 5:24-25   Ephesians 4:21-24

Jesus was very clear when He said that in order for us to have eternal life, we must be born again.  Just as Christ was crucified and rose again from the dead, the Bible says that Christian's must go through a similar experience.  (See Romans 6:6-13).  Our "flesh" (or sinful, selfish nature) needs to be replaced by the purity of Jesus Christ.  This requires a total dependence upon God because we can't even come close to doing it by ourselves.  This isn't something that happens overnight, but we must learn how to walk with God through a constant connection with the Holy Spirit.

------------------

How can we start or maintain a relationship like this with Jesus Christ?

Revelation 3:20   Romans 13:14   Colossians 3:1-3
