"If you carefully obey all the commands I am giving you today, and if you love the LORD your God with all your heart and soul, and if you worship him, then he will send the rains in their proper seasons so you can harvest crops of grain, grapes for wine, and olives for oil.  He will give you lush pastureland for your cattle to graze in, and you yourselves will have plenty to eat."

Deuteronomy 11:13-15

Look upon Jesus, sinless is He;
Father, impute His life unto me.
My life of scarlet, my sin and woe,
Cover His life, whiter than snow.

Deep are the wounds transgression has made;
Red are the stains; my soul is afraid.
O to be covered, Jesus, with Thee,
Safe from the law that now judgeth me!

Longing the joy of pardon to know;
Jesus holds out a robe white as snow;
"Lord, I accept it! Leaving my own,
Gladly I wear Thy pure alone."

-- F.E. Belden

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
And whose hope is the LORD.
For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,
Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes;
But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit"

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Walking with God

Of our own selves, do we even have the desire or ability to do what is right?

Philippians 2:13 Jeremiah 17:9

We have a moment by moment need for Jesus to be our constant guide, as Jesus says in John 15:5 "...for without Me ye can do nothing". Our first step in walking with God is realizing our desperate need.

God makes us a very special promise

 Ezekiel 36:25-27

Let's look to Jesus our ultimate example.

John 5:30   John 4:34   Mark 22:42   1 John 2:6

Another step in walking with God is always seeking His will in our every activity. Following Jesus' powerful example; walking with God as Jesus walked with His Father.

John 15:1-5

What does it mean to abide in Him?

Isaiah 26:3

For me this means constantly be in touch with God
and seeking His will in every action of the day!

James 1:19

This verse tells us we need to be swift to hear God
(and our fellow man) and filter our every word through Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:17

What does our attitude need to be?

Psalm 40:8

Our walk with God is one step at a time!

Philippians 3:13-14

Don't get discouraged and don't get down on yourself when you stumble in your walk with God as this verse says "forgetting those things which are behind ... press toward the mark".

Remember God's mercies are "new every morning" Isaiah 3:23.
God gives us a very encouraging promise in Psalm 103:13-17!

Take a look at two Bible men that walked with God

Genesis 5:21-24

The Bible doesn't tell us much about Enoch except that he walked with God for 300 years and then he was taken to Heaven. Its hard for us to comprehend that amount of time, but it is my desire to walk with God as many years as I live (I pray that it is your desire also).

Genesis 6:8-9

What was Noah's time like? Matthew 24:37 says "But as days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be". What did God ask of Noah? Was he different, peculiar from the rest of the world?

What does God ask of us?  Look in...

Titus 3:11-14

Our walk with God is not in a trance / vision / motionless meditative state -- but in every aspect / activity / job of our daily life!

1 Corinthians 10:31    Colossians 3:17

Romans 13:11-14
