The rest of verse 1: “Finally my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.”
But what did mean when he said that rejoicing would keep Christians safe? Safe from what?
Verse 2 “Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.”

"Concision" means "those that mutilate the flesh"
Paul is referring to the Jews who trusted in circumcision and their own righteousness.

The Bible tells us that true circumcision is not on the outside at all, but it takes place in the heart...
