: *<JO>* Master-Apprentice Guild Tree
: *<JO>*Scalarik April 08, 2012, 03:06 AM
I have created a kind of "family tree" containing all of the Master-Apprentice relations I could find. If you have any additional information, feel free to contribute by posting.

All of those people floating on the left edge, I know they exist but I couldn't find anything about their Masters.

This is golden Padawan Scalarik! I tried to make something like this ages ago, but I lost the files and couldn't be bothered to re-do it all.

Good stuff!

The older Masters should be able to help you out on Masters like Dron Zell andTyrael. Such fun to see all those names that went before us :)

By the way, both Master Ksodus(Xodus) and Phantxar(PannTher) are Jedi that re-joined and had to make a new character, but they're basically the same.

By the way, both Master Ksodus(Xodus) and Phantxar(PannTher) are Jedi that re-joined and had to make a new character, but they're basically the same.
But as they were "reborn", they had to have new Masters, am I right? So there should be a place for them in the chart too, then.
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Yanto April 08, 2012, 05:21 AM
Well done, it's excellent.

Though from what I know Masters Pann and Phant are two different people, at least thats what I remember from when I knew Phant.

: *<JO>*Ekul April 08, 2012, 05:29 AM
That's great! Great job!

Unless I am mistaken, Master Phantxar is not Master PannTher.

There are a few people you are missing (mainly padawans who ended up leaving) like Drake, and Zhen Kai. I also taught Tao-Kin, Zhen, and Drake before they left.
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Scalarik April 08, 2012, 05:35 AM
Thank you Masters Alexia and Ekul!

There are a few people you are missing (mainly padawans who ended up leaving) like Drake, and Zhen Kai. I also taught Tao-Kin, Zhen, and Drake before they left.

If you mean D.Wolfe (Drake Wolfe) with Drake, then he is in the chart under Master Foxen. I will add the other members you mentioned, and update the picture later with more things. Also I thought Tao Kin was Master Menelaos's apprentice?

Also, if any of you notice any wrong genders, please tell me. Circle is female, square is male, I used square as default so there might be some females wrong.
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"

Some things I would like to add here:

Who was Master Tyrael's master?
Who was Master Silvaer's master?

That's awesome job, padawan Scalarik.

A suggestion: is better to organize the chart timewise, like a timeline going down. I'll try to make a sketch tomorrow.

: ChrisGrim April 10, 2012, 09:10 PM
This is pretty incredible. Very impressed with the amount of work put in. A bit sad, too, when you see just how many arrows dead end. How many failed experiments (Padawan's) there have been in JO's long history.

You know, I tried. But... The chart is too complex. I thought I keep it at least a little simple, so that it is readable. All the crossing arrows go really messy easily.

: *<JO>*Alpha April 11, 2012, 05:45 AM
Wow, nice work!

Two small faults on my part of the tree, though.

1) I trained them under the Alias 'Alpha Jhen', however I'm not sure how that fits into your whole time-line structure.
2) I had a fourth padawan, Angel. She was my last.
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Scalarik April 11, 2012, 05:51 AM
So is this the same Angel who trained under Master PannTher? Or am I mistaken?

And about the name changes, I have only included the real-life persons behind the characters. I don't know why under you it doesn't say "Alpha" like with Master Arrius is "Veniku". I thought I put it in there ::)
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Alpha April 11, 2012, 05:54 AM
The very same Angel, I hope that doesn't complicate this further! The problem is, members have left and returned in the past. Hence a lot of padawan sharing (though with Vargus' unlucky case, it was more his masters' faults than his own).

Seriously though, this is amazing. When our Academy is fully formed, I can imagine we'll be approaching you for your assistance in things like this.
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Scalarik April 13, 2012, 11:54 AM
Major update! And revised layout! All the new information comes from the Master-Padawan discussion.

Thank you BioWare for keeping the servers down and giving me time to do this :D!

Stryder and Xar Mei-Oh are still missing their Masters. If you do know who they are, please do tell!
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Ekul April 13, 2012, 12:23 PM
Awesome!

I think Aegis Kelar's master was Master Menelaos? Not positive though.

Also, didn't Master Tyrael teach Master Lei? I know he had more padawans than just Tao because I remember him training someone (I think Master Lei) in the dueling area under the big gazebo on Naboo Hills (have a distinct memory of this for some reason haha).
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Scalarik April 13, 2012, 12:33 PM
Did Master Lei have five Masters then? :o And another crossing arrow to the tree :D.

Thank you for the information General Ekul! I will try to find some evidence of these relations (it is very much easier to find when you know what to look for ::) ).

Also here is an extraction from the tree, showing the longest lineages so far. I found out about Luster having the longest one just today!

One of the things that is so amazing about Master Cei's line being so long is that he was at least a JK when I joined, maybe even a JM already. Just for perspective, I joined in 2004 (I think, might have even been 2003 but I doubt it).
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"

I didn't find anything about Aegis Kelar or Master Tyrael's Padawans. Guess I just have to keep looking.

Are you sure?

I've just checked the old forums which date back to 2003. There's absolutely no record of Master Cei Vookto on there. I doubt he was a JM by the point you joined either, he was Master Shin's second padawan whereas I was his first, and I'm pretty sure I was a JK when you sauntered into the temple with your fancy backwards name! :) This would mean you joined mid-to-late 2004, when we had our third forums (the ones I refer to being the second).

When I look at that tree..my god I trained a lot of Padawans.

Is it any surprise you're now a teacher? lol.

I joined in September 2004 I think. I don't know when Master Cei joined. I feel like he was at least JK the whole time I was a member though. Could he have been a member before the joclan conforums and then left and come back or something? I think you might have still been a J when I joined though. Did you become a JK in JK2? I joined before the switch to JKA. I originally applied on some proboard forums I think. The background was like space I think though. We switched really soon after I applied.
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Alpha April 14, 2012, 02:07 AM
Nope, I think you have Master Cei confused with somebody else, Master. He hadn't been in JO before Master Shin trained him. I 'helped' Master Shin train him, though he was always far beyond my abilities. I ended up learning more from him than vice versa, even though he was technically a little brother. Really great guy, very wise from the beginning.

I just as easily could have been a J, though I recall attaining JK 6-7 months into joining (and being quite proud of this at the time, given that I'd been a hopeful for so long), though I may be mistaken. I was accepted in March. I was indeed a JK when we played JK2, yup.

The one with the space background was the forum we moved to afterwards (the third one I mentioned!).
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Ekul April 14, 2012, 06:41 AM
Very strange, since I'm almost 100% sure he didn't join AFTER me. I wish the forums between 2004 and 2007 were still around.

I think you were a J when I joined, but probably got JK about a month after.
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Alpha April 14, 2012, 06:47 AM
Hmmm, I'm pretty sure it wasn't after you he joined. But then, why cant I find his application? Maybe he applied at the beginning of the third forum.

I really wish we had them, too. So much from that era I've just simply forgotten. Where did they even go?

: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: Tomius Nu'vada April 14, 2012, 04:28 PM
I think the years signify 'x number of years after Return of the Jedi', I believe the clan started somewhere around the 50-60 region. There was a website that Veniku posted a real long time ago (that I think he made, many years ago) that sort of shows how; http://cataran1989.tripod.com/jediorder/id7.html

Personally, I'd be inclined to say that the clan was founded at year 55ish, but a backstory was manufactured for the previous years.

One thing is for sure, the clan is now well over 7 years old, and this 150th year is really something to be proud of.

haha hey i was looking for that... too many years farting around on the internet its hard to keep everything together.

oh btw was looking through it, one of the messages left on there from axem was 07/2003  making the clan actually about 7 years old like Rink said. When i joined as cataran the clan was only together two months or so prior to my joining... i do remember joining. map was always on bespin. some good ffa's were held there.

:)

New update! Corrected some arrows crossing very confusingly, modified the layout a little. Added a new feature, the highest rank achieved.

As you can see the rank system is still very incomplete. I am trying to research the ranks but it's very much impossible to be 100% certain about a rank being the highest this and this member achieved.

: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Alpha May 29, 2012, 12:48 PM
From what I remember (though my memory may be skewed somewhat), it was Knight Rikoko, not Jedi.
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Scalarik May 29, 2012, 12:55 PM
But in that topic he clearly states he was fed up not getting higher than Jedi. Perhaps he returned later, during other forums and then made it to JK?
: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Ekul May 29, 2012, 04:13 PM
I don't remember him returning once I joined, which was September 2004. So if he was only a Jedi when he left, then it is unlikely he ever got higher than that.

Some of the ranks on that former members page don't seem right, although I'm not positive. I thought Barrowstone got to JK, for instance.

Master, Krystal and Grim (Christopher Grim) are in the tree, and you are also marked as their Master. But for Pozican, he is under Dim-Mak, did he return later to be your apprentice as well? Like I said I'm out of resources, so what you see here is everything I was able to find, it's not complete truth.

According to my findings, you had the following as your Padawans:

Shin, Shade, Krystal, Noki, Tao-Kin, Kadaj, Mandez, Jack, Dardanus, Kaitos, Natas, Rowe, ChrisGrim, Dal'van, Mysté, Serbar and Slim.

Anyone missing there?

I'd like to thank you again for making this Jedi Scalarik.

This thing is golden, I can look at it for hours, reading through names.. I wonder how everybody's doing.

Have I told how comments like this make me feel I'd spend the hours constructing this again any day? ;D Thank you so much!

This really is some of the best historical work that anyone has done for *<JO>*! Great job! And thank you for continuing to update the chart and make improvement! :)

Some remarks;

- I assume rectangles are male ? Circles or otherwise are female (could add that to the chart-inscription too)
- Xar-Rikoko has never been a ghost (as far as I know), highest rank was Knight
- Ronalds highest rank achieved was a Padawan Learner
- Christopher Grim was about to be trialled for being a Knight, but if I'm correct he never actually did those trials and left just before them

But... wow, a really good job so far! Hope you can keep it up to date!

Thanks :). That little square in Rikoko's square is trying to be dark green, as in Jedi, but I see that didn't work out so well :P

As for Grim:

Now that my JKA career is over I can finally look back on it [snip]

But, honestly, the worst time I had in JO was the two weeks or whatever I spent as a Knight... I don't even think I lasted two weeks, but that's the first measure of time that popped in my head. A lot of stress, I read more bad things about myself than anyone should have to, and within this time was the first time I'd ever been banned from JO's server... Though only fleetingly. As much as I wanted to be, wanted to train a Padawan, have a meaningful say in the clan, get to all that potential I kept hearing about, I don't think I was ready... [snip]

I knew I got that from somewhere ;)

I'll update Ronald's rank in the next update and add the descriptions of female and male. :)

: Re: The *<JO>* Master-Apprentice "family tree"
: *<JO>*Ekul June 23, 2012, 12:05 PM
I was actually a cloned Zabrak in my bio when applying. I was a clone of Darth Maul, I believe, coned to kill Luke Skywalker (hence the backwards name: Ekul Reklawyks). Somehow I ended up rebelling and seeking the Jedi Order.

My bio was a little ridiculous. haha I think the only reason I got through with all of that is because the JoE/R fiasco was just beginning to pick up steam. I remember when Wooklyn and other traitorous Councilors and Masters took over the admin and were amghosting around killing and banning everyone. I was spectating Wooklyn because it happened right as I connected (before joining the game). Everyone was freaking out and had no idea what was happening. So the fact that my bio was kind of over the top (I also had my own star destroyer I think, which I gave up when joining the Order, hence my RP profession as a master pilot and mechanic) wasn't really a big deal.

Master PannTher was a feline race. If you see his skin in JKA it'll make sense. haha He was essentially an panther, like his name.

Always a month has passed, there have been some small changes. Whenever you've got time, feel free to add those!

* Knight Scalarik teaches Lytali
* Master Achilles became one with the force
* Knight Valérii became a Master
* Tomius, Hermesian, etc. left the Order (could be a removal or timeline change)
* Knight Elod teaches Kola

As far as I know, that's it.

~ Master Valérii

I know things have happened and I have the updates already on my computer. I just haven't updated things online.

With members leaving I won't remove them from the tree. The timeline I have updated to some degree, but that as well is half way done.

I'll make sure to update them both today.

Huge props for including the likes of Corean Depth, Rouge, Vandar Aston and Leon. Blasts from the past.

I miss quite a few of the names on that list, good times.

Anytime Knight Scalarik, keep up the amazing work and I'll try to remember anything that may have been missed.

It's great that something like this exists, it's the sort of thing Master Menelaos was talking about years ago, a true archive. Love it.
: Re: *<JO>* Master-Apprentice Guild Tree

Jehuty (Lil Jehuty) reached the rank of Jedi.

I can't really see it properly at the minute because I'm flu'd up to the max, but just incase it was missed: Tyrael taught Angel at one point or another.

I think everyone had Angel as their Padawan at some point in their JO career. By far one of the maddest people in the clan. Classic character, miss her.

Wish Lei and Ewie were still around too. Lei Nix was one of the best people to come through the ranks, hope he's doing well.
: Re: *<JO>* Master-Apprentice Guild Tree
: *<JO>*Alpha February 02, 2013, 07:42 AM
Erm, not too sure about Xantos being my Padawan... It could have happened, but if it did it was VERY brief. I wouldn't put that in your records, as accurate as they are!
: Re: *<JO>* Master-Apprentice Guild Tree
: *<JO>*RinkXing February 02, 2013, 07:45 AM
Xantos is a mystery. I remember him so well, I just can't recall who taught him. Maybe it was Shin then..? I remember him using the yellow/black colours at some point, which were Shins. Confusing.

Another missing guy is Klig Ligeus. I think he was Russian. Nice chap. Might have been Aoshi's Padawan after Mene, I know he wasn't around for a while.
: Re: *<JO>* Master-Apprentice Guild Tree
: *<JO>*Scalarik February 02, 2013, 07:51 AM
Actually Klig can be found there, he was indeed taught by Master Aoshi, but also by Master Shin. As Shin is lower in the tree, Klig is under him. ;)

And also Tyrael taught Angel and that should be marked there, I found a pic of Angel wearing Tyrael's colors.

Klig was brilliant, really top guy. As for Xantos, he really is a mystery. Another great guy, but there's just so much I can't remember.

I updated the tree with the certain things. I'll leave the uncertainties hanging for now.

Could you make a summarising topic of the uncertainties? Maybe when we see them together we could solve some thing, it's hard to browse through all these topics without a guiding line.

: Re: *<JO>* Master-Apprentice Guild Tree
: Zetamancer March 27, 2013, 08:51 PM
This old brain is ticking again -

  • Zetamancer's master was Wooklyn at some point, BUT this may have been in JoE. So I'm not 100% sure about that...
  • Heiko's master was probably Slim Midanyl. I remember his colours being Yellow and Blue. Its possible it could have been Xantos, but I'm fairly certain Slim taught him...
  • Alphonso Del Jhentlebings might be able to remind me, but I could have sworn Alpha had Xantos as a Padawan?
  • Jace Harkin was either Erue's master or his Padawan, they had the same colours. Cyan and Red.
  • Erue also taught 'Shogun Shimi'. He never made it to JK but I'm unsure of his maxiumum rank. He joined ::JEDI:: in the end.
  • Krynakin was Silvaer's Padawan, he was Padawan the same time as me, but he got thrown out for being a naughty boy. His max rank was Jedi
  • As far as I know, it's missing a member called 'Zuru Daik' He was only a Padawan, but he was only around for a month or so in December 2003.

Huge props for including the likes of Corean Depth, Rouge, Vandar Aston and Leon. Blasts from the past.

I miss quite a few of the names on that list, good times.

My only master was Raphael de Leon. Wooklyn and I duelled alot and he taught me off hand stuff about the game.

We left together with others to form JoR/JoE, which was eventually reformed into Enigma under Kinem Zrael, which is now defunt I believe.

Just putting the info out there.
