Alexaer was the 2nd and last child in the Rainwalker family, the eldest, being Duurel. At a young age, Alexaer's discipline in education was lacking, always doing pranks to his elders and he has always relied on his brother to cover for his "shenanigans"; They were very close. His brother, Duurel, 10 years older than him, was employed as a security officer to the defense of Alderaan at the time. He was always on leave with official business, unaware to him that his little brother was following him everywhere he went on Alderaan. When the Empire attacked and invaded Alderaan, their parents died in the siege..and before the Republic could react, everyone there was captured or killed. They both survived only to see their home, family, friends gone in an instant, and with nowhere to go, they fled into the woods along with some of the remaining survivors. As the Republic was struggling to regain the foothold on Alderaan, many of the people that fled into the woods died of hunger, cold, or worse, trying to reach the Republic lines, and hopefuly some good news aswell. As they were aproaching the Republic lines, Duurel, carrying his little brother on the back were ambushed by the sith armada. Duurel, having already seen battle by that time, he knew that they're all going to die decided to sacrifice his life to save Alexaer's. As the survivors kept falling left and right, in the heat of battle, Duurel took his brother, and hid him in a deep crater, and covered it with branches. By the time he finished his brother's hiding spot, he said to him "We're..we're going to be alright. Stay here!", Alexaer replied "Where are you going? Come back!!" and as Alexaer was starring up to branches his brother said smiling to him just before covering the crater with the last branch to keep it safe "You will see these days renewed...little brother." and then..out of all the chaos from thermal detonators exploding, trees bursting from sith artilery, and gunshots there was silence. Alexaer opened his eyes, gazed at what little light was coming from beyond the branches and all he saw was a red light where his brother was. As he removed a branch to peek what it was...he saw his brother, kneeled before him, his face was lifeless and out of his chest there was a red lightsaber sticking out...all he heard was a merciless voice, straight out of one of his nightmares saying " Hmpf...Pathetic." Emotions overwhelmed him..and the will to cry and scream was unbearable; he fainted. After a week a squad of Republic soldiers lead by one of the jedi stumbled across this unusual crater covered with branches. As he started removing the branches he saw Alexaer, nearly dead, and to his surprise, still alive. He jumped down into the crater and then he yelled "MEDIC!!! HES ALIVE!". By the time the Republic were finishing off the last sith straglers, Alexaer came to his senses, after a 2 weeks days in a kolto tank, the jedi told him that the Force kept him alive all this time, he replied, starring at the floor saddened "No, it wasnt. It was my brother." As the jedi tried to shake off the shock at the boy's reply he said smiling "Stay with me little boy, i will keep you safe..."; "Im not a boy. Not anymore." said the 9 year old as he starred at the jedi. And thats where it all began...
