I seem to be the only one who's still playing  ???

won't run on my machine properly   :-[

Honestly, I really enjoy the game, but a combination of busy work and just... not seeing anyone else online/not seeing their levels change, has deterred me a bit.

I'm keeping my sub running and going on occasionally, but I rarely see anyone else on.

Aw, that's a real shame, Ozy :(

And Master Alpha, that's my problem as well: it's a good game, and it's a fair attempt at putting the Elder Scrolls into an MMO, but with no one else online, I might as well be playing Skyrim :-\

I'm sorry master, I'm sorry knight Tabaet. ESO didn't really hook me up. It has its moments, sure. But :(

And, tbh, I really fall behind from the gaming world. An observer, rather than a player.

When I played the beta, it did feel great and I thought there would be more in the game if I paid more attention to the story, as in beta I was just skipping things. After the time I've played (which honestly isn't that much) the real deal, I have not had a moment when the game would pull me into it as I expected. There is no pull, and I've not had the energy lately to force myself to play a game... I'll play it a few times still, hoping to get the pull, but I doubt it... :(

Well, I've decided to take a break from ESO and give them a few months to sort out their more obvious problems (grouping and rp ;) ). They've got plans to make it much more like an Elder Scrolls game, but at the moment, there are other games that are far better and more worthy of subscription. It is pretty good as it is, but without the guild it doesn't really have enough appeal :(

I'm thinking of returning to Final Fantasy XIV, which I was originally reluctant to try, but once I did it really sucked me in and has proper spectacle in a way that ESO just doesn't. Its only real drawback is that at times it is heavily Japanese, especially in emote animations and certain armour designs :P

Right, I'm cancelling my sub then.
: Re: Have people lost interest in ESO?

Heh, it has a lot of potential, but I think the mistake was jumping on it as soon as it came out :P

In a few months, when they've added in the crime system, the Thieves' Guild, the Dark Brotherhood etc. it should feel much more like an Elder Scrolls game and should be much more enjoyable just to be in the world for rp, but at the moment it really feels like a Skyrim wanna-be :(

You're probably right!

Have a look at the other thread I posted in about SWGEmu Knight Tabaet, have you ever played it?
: Re: Have people lost interest in ESO?
: *<JO>*Tabaet April 30, 2014, 05:26 AM
Yeah, I've actually just installed SWGEmu and I'm giving it a try, but - and I know this sounds a bit shallow - I'm not sure I'll be able to get past the antiquated graphics  :-\

Also, I really only enjoy playing as a Jedi or Sith in Star Wars games, and I seem to remember reading that it's very difficult to become one in SWG :P

If you can overlook the graphics, it's a very deep sandbox MMO with tons to do. Housing, all sorts. You'll have to get over not being able to be a Jedi though, though you can still be a Fencer/Swordsman/Pikeman/Teras Kasi artist! Those are melee.

Jedis cannot be unlocked in SWGEmu?
: Re: Have people lost interest in ESO?
: *<JO>*Alpha April 30, 2014, 07:42 AM
Not yet, forgot to mention that. Jedi/sith aren't unlockable yet thankfully.

That's a bummer :(

I guess I'll stick with FF XIV, then ;)

Jedi in SWG is as much of a pain as it is fun. You end up spending months grinding out xp before you can even have any force abilities. And even if you get the xp quickly enough, the are forced waits between training skills and stuff I think. It's a huge and complex process to actually become a Jedi.

I had more fun in SWG than in maybe any other game I've played. But it wasn't like modern games. I haven't played any newer games that make you grind out xp the way you had to in SWG. Going back to play it now is mostly nostalgia.

And about ESO, I can't believe they released an elder scrolls game without the thieves guild or dark brotherhood!!! I would almost always do those before the main quest.

So...
: Re: Have people lost interest in ESO?
: *<JO>*Iok'hann May 05, 2015, 11:13 PM
Hard times for me... I don't think I'll have enough time to give to an MMO in the following months :(

Aw, that's a shame, Iok. Hope you get it all sorted as soon as possible :)

As for the rest of you... what's your excuse? >:(

I hope people don't lose interest before I get proper time to get aboard :(
