Just loved it. Seen it already twice now. Absolutely great they went with such different themes. Not at all perfect in terms of execution but still a very excellent Star Wars movie.

I hated it. It wasn’t Star Wars worthy. It had no story line what so ever. A big disappointment.

Also hated it. Felt like it was written and directed by people who didn't like Star Wars or care for it. I'd rant about the specifics but spoilers. Sucks.

As a mindless action film with no context, it was actually alright.

BUT... As a Star Wars film... It just completely broke the universe.

The prequels were all just on tv. The new ones are better “movies”’ but ep 1 especially just feels more like star wars. Probably because I was a kid when it came out. But it just feels more right than these new ones that Disney has released.

Don’t get me wrong - I LOVED Rogue One, but the others are missing some feeling. I don’t know what it is. I like them as movies. But the feel isn’t there. I don’t know what it is - maybe just I am not a kid now. I was so into Star Wars novels as a kid that’s possible.

I think the simultaneous greatness and horribleness of George Lucas is missing.

It’s weird to me. The prequels were “bad” but they weren’t really were they? I’m retrospect episodes one and two especially gave us so much new universe. Hell didn’t most of our maps and worlds in JO come from those movies?

What did the new movies give us? They’ve given us action and fun but what kind of new universe did we get?

I didn't think it was as bad as people made it out to be, but I do completely agree with everything you guys have said, especially regarding the prequels. They FEEL Star Wars!

Really disliked their treatment of Luke in this film. Also feel like there isn't actually any particular cliffhanger I am waiting to be answered? It just felt the plot was a little pointless if I'm honest. Good fun, but what has actually progressed?

Still, really interested in this potential Obi-Wan film if they go ahead with it. Especially with Ewan again.
