Dear Tabworld user,As you may or may not know, over the past year or so the music industry has been making a large push to have tab sites taken off the internet. The claim by the music industry has been that tab sites infringe on copyright laws protecting both artists and their music. Many tab sites have been taken offline. However, to our knowledge, no court has ever ruled that tab sites are actually infringing on copyright laws. Unfortunately, Tab World Online was recently contacted by the attorney representing the music industry and a dialogue ensued regarding potential litigation as well as possible avenues that could be taken to keep Tabworld online. Unfortunately, Tab World Online, like 99% of the tabsites on the internet does not have the financial resources to pay the administrative fee of $10,000 which the record companies are asking for.It is with regret that we have no other choice but to disable the tabs on our site. We will continue to own the domain and will provide updates to our members with regards to any possible movements or changes that would allow us to offer tabs to our members again in the future. In the meantime, feel free to use our forums for discussions. Also, feel free to offer us your suggestions or comments, which might provide useful in our efforts to keep Tab World Online around for years to come. Sincerely,Mike WilliamsOwner, tabworldonline.com
would be cool to see if they all got shut down. Cause everyone just gets the tabs and learn the song. It's nothing compared to learning them by ear in my opinion
