The VIP lounge is free for those who bought the CE and DDE. The vendor is just for CE of course. The 1,000,000 credit price is for those with the standard edition to access the lounge (but NOT the store, again only those with the CE can use it).

I played the beta too. I played as a Jedi knight and loved it. Only got to level 9 and unfortunately didn't manage to get my lightsaber
I also noticed a bug: twice whilst I was walking to my next quest I was attacked by some invisible thing. I couldn't attack and it kept following me till I died.
Apart from that it was great.

Buddy had similar bug ended up the npc enemy was in a rock which u could neiter target or anything.

I got to level 15 at which point decided to stop leveling so I didn't ruin to much of the story/gameplay for when game is launched. Once level 15 just explored area's mainly spent time on Typhon helping others with their quests or problems, helped many with Chamber of Speech heroic area.

But that would not explain how it moved
Surely if it moved it would become visible as he is no longer it rock?

Luckily managed to do it the first time I did it with two others okay but I had reached level 10 and also had a lightsaber by then, at level 13-15 it was very easy to do solo so I decided to help people that couldn't do it.

One thing I've heard (not positive if its true) is that we were playing an old build. Not the one permanent beta testers are currently on. So a lot of the bugs are fixed.

I think that is good and bad:
Good- means alot of bugs have been fixed so we don't need to worry
Bad. - missed out on opportunity to play game with fewer bugs

I stopped playing WOW around June, just had gotten so bored of it even with the new expansion. Decided to save the monthly fee for when I got SWTOR. I had just got bored of the meaningless feeling that quests had, like I was killing things for nothing that none of it actually had a bigger picture.
