There's a duelling session / saber training class on Tython today at 8:30 GMT. Conall will be conducting it. You're welcome to come along! :)

Seven of us attended (six when I left). Seemed like it was going good. Would like to hear feedback from those who stayed through the whole thing.  :)

It was great  ;D. I got a fair few bruises though. Will be good when I am trained enough to wield a light sabre!

Yes, the event was really enjoyable!

Everything feels relaxing on Tython anyways  ;)

Well organized and good conversation we had there!

Thank you RDC!
And the people that attended  :)

I did not take pictures but I was observing quite closely  ;D

Good to hear. What does everyone think about having a weekly/monthly tournament? Or perhaps just an ordinary saber class?

I've run saber training classes before and they are always a hit. But I'd like them to be regular and I probably would need help to keen them sustainable. Are you interested in doing classes together?

I can provide some teachers from the RDC if you can provide some from the JO.

In the past, I taught a Form each class, starting with Shii-Cho. This time, I'm wondering if each teacher could choose a Form, and only teach that one every class. We could then have multiple classes per week, each one doing a different Form.

Thoughts?

Seems like every time the order meets up Tomius can't keep his finger off his lightsaber and starts "Training Sessions" but lightsaber combat is such a small part of the Jedi Order it seems like other lessons are being neglected, such as Force Philosophy, Culture, History etc.... If the Jedi believe what they claim, then these lessons are far more important then lightsaber combat.

Padawan Kaymase, when referring to a Knight or Master such as KNIGHT Tomius - please show the respect of the title he has earn't and worked for by stating the title.

You seem to be ill informed padawan kaymase. I have only once done a 'saber class'. The other time was a tournament organised by padawan Hermesean. I have not taught other aspects as it was not my place due to me still being a Jedi. However, I did do one class on our code and history not long ago to boost my confidence.

Now that I'm a knight I am going to be teaching other things, which I stated in a post. Weekly classes on Friday.

Yes I sometimes duel my friends when we meet but for fun. If you have a problem with me or what I do I urge you to PM about it instead of stating publically.

Would love to take part in some, timings a bit of an issue for me - tend to be a night owl.   In saying that my better halfs work patterns have changed, so maybe on from 20.30 most week nights  - after my wee one has finally fallen asleep :)

I couldn't find the thread on it but I figured here would do. Just wanted to say that the tournament on Sunday afternoon, trying to find all the items, was great fun :) Definitely requires more tactics and organising than you think and trying to do it all on the move made it even better :P Its times like that where we need to be on Skype or Teamspeak or something! Anyway thanks to any here who helped organise it :D
