Sounds good to me, we'll just beat you there too  ;)

In all seriousness, with all that talent...its amazing what egos can do to a team. There is no way on a player by player comparison that the Dutch should have lost to the Portuguese. But when you watch the replay of the second goal, you see how there are 6 Dutch players attacking and when the ball is turned over, only 1 (Huntelaar) is the only one that actually bothers to run back and try to defend. Robben, Percy, et all just stand there and do nothing to help the back 4.

In the World Cup they made it to the final because they played as a team. In this tournament they played as individuals and you see the result.

I'm not much of a soccer fan, unlike the rest of the Netherlands, but they played really sloppy indeed. They were completly out of sync.. The one time Sneijder layed down a nice ball after a corner, nobody was even there to answer it.

And our defence was nothing but a joke, really.

You should see people being completly down after ''the boys'' lost, it's such a big part of their lives here.

Seems like Germany is doing well though! I wonder if they'll win.

I hope Germany goes a long way, they're usually one of my favorite teams.

Holland; a bunch of overp(r)ayed egos who have lost their will of play. They forgot the fact that a whole nation was staring at them, the deception of the tournament by far.

ps. Germany is going to win this, they attack as a team, they defend as a team and they'll hold the cup tight as a team. All credits to the hard working midfield who has proven worth for the last years. Here we call it something like spirit, or mentality which should be found somewhere between your ears. Germany against Spain/Italy would be a great final. All three nations play with their heart and for their nation, we'll see.

Well, I'd love to see Germany win, but there are a few good teams. Spain, Portugal and France are strong in my opinion.
Italy has show a little more flash than usual, not the same boring style and DiNatale is playing well.
England has Rooney back and perhaps he brings them to a level tied with the above, but I don't think there is enough around him.
No disrespect to the rest of the teams, they are obviously good if they made it this far, but are they good enough to win it?

The England game was ok, If we play like that against Italy and Spain I'm afraid we don't stand a chance, again we can hope  ::)

So far it's always Ashley Young! ALWAYS Ashley Young, who manages to throw the game at points when we've played internationally.

Atmosphere in the pub was awful after that, had to get out.

Much appreciated, Master. There's so much to be said about that game, we're all still really frustrated about it.

Andrea Pirlo, such class. Best man on the field, without doubts, probably going to be player of the tournament.

Too bad for your country got kicked out too Master Atticus. I think people expected too much of Wayne and forgot to play as a team. One man can't win a match for you, even not Ronaldo.

My expectations; Germany 2 - 1 Italy and Spain 3 - 0 Portugal; Italy will be placed third after a 2 - 1 win over Portugal and the final will be decided on penalties after a 1 - 1 draw where Germany will lose due to a lack of confidence in penalties (Champions League Bayern Munchen complex).

But than again, that's my expectation.

Completely agreed, Pirlo just threw Hart off his game with that amazing penalty which is frustrating, as Hart is usually excellent in them (something that we needed to break our curse). I'm not sure what was going through Hart's mind at the time though, those acid-induced coke fiend faces didn't get him anywhere lol.

Way too much was expected of all of our players really. Rooney was our pointman but without his much needed support from a decent attacking midfield (Lampard) we couldn't get him the ball enough. The Italians however, seemed to constantly get the ball to Balotelli.

Another let-down from the our squad. Next failure 2014! Back to supporting Germany like I usually do.

Where is Shin?
That Italian needs to get a beat-down!!

2-0 Germany wins tomorrow.

Spain vs Germany just like it was 4 years ago...the difference is Germany wins this year.

Pirlo is good, but Inniesta is the man of the tourney.
