I thought I would show you guys some of the my artwork. Not all of my drawings, if I did that it would make the page really really huge and hard to load (not that it isn't already). Besides, not all of my drawings are anything more than stick figures anyways, so I'm only showing the ones I think best represent my work. I've got them in the order that I drew them, you can probably see I've gotten a little better over the years. Some of them are not my original idea, I copied their concept from pictures that I found on the internet, but I did not trace them, I just drew them while looking at my computer screen, and then improved on them a bit. Generally, if I saw a picture I thought I could have done better on than the original artist, I sketched it out and add detail to it. I left a little note by each picture to indicate if I copied their concept or not.
I drew this just before Star Wars Ep. III came out. I was really excited about the movie and looked at production photographs.

Just about the same time I drew a picture of the new jedi starfighter as well. I liked how the shading turned out on this.

This was drawn looking at a picture of Obi Wan, it was one of my first attempts at realism, and at least you can tell who its meant to be.

I drew this series of X-men pictures riding in the backseat of the car on the way home from vacation several years ago. This is Nightcrawler.

Storm.

Wolverine.

Sonic the hedgehog. I drew this series during my Sonic phase, a few years back while looking at the box art for Sonic Adventure 2.

And Knuckles, again from Sonic.

Rouge the bat, along with a couple jewels I drew just for the sake of putting her in context.

Chaos from Sonic, I still play with these things.

Amy Rose, also from Sonic.

Legend Of Zelda is the best game ever. I started drawing pictures from the zelda games after I finished Ocarina of Time, and I never quite gave up drawing them. They still pop up every now and then. Copied the Concept.

Challenging myself to draw something so cute and sugary I could die. These are supposedly sketches of young link. Probably before he became hero, he looks to young to carry a sword. Copied the concept.

These are rough sketches of various things from the legend of Zelda. I copied their concept from various images on the internet.

This one has an interesting story to it. One day in my athletic training class, my coach asked anyone in the class to draw her last name in a way that you couldn't read it unless you looked very hard at it, so I did. See if you can read it.

Yet another picture of Link. Yes I copied it, but I made several changes to it.

Link again. I copied the pose. I was slightly dissapointed in this picture, I'm pretty sure I could have done the face better, but it still looks good.

At this point, I had completely filled my first sketch book, so I had to start a new one. This is another picture of Link.

This is a picture of a girl, I was still in my zelda phase (still am but not so much in my art), so she looks vaguely hylian.

I found a completely awesome reference for Ganondorf from Zelda, so I decided to try out a new method of shading on it.

Link, done in a rediculously cute anime style. I saw link being drawn in this style and I thought it was awesome, so I drew it.

I think this might actually be my first attempt to draw a background behind one of my drawings. This is princess Zelda, I used a reference.

I got inspiration for this picture off the internet. It was done with a completely different shading stlye than the one I normally use, using lines instead of shadows. Or in some places lines to accentuate shadows. And yes, Navi in this picture is not your typical Legend of Zelda fairy, I drew her differently.

I love this picture! And really, the scan does not do it justice, its much more detailed in real life. This is my own original idea, drawn with no reference whatsoever (except for photographs of roses to get the petals on the roses right). I actually just started this one as a rough sketch of a bird and then I decided to draw some roses on the same page, then got carried away and decided that I would draw fire and stuff, and there you have it, a pheonix. With an egg. I never did like the worm theory about pheonix regeneration. Pheonix's have eggs like any other respectable bird.

And now I give you something completely different! A baby dragon. Ain't he cute? I dont like how this one scanned, theres so much subtle shading that was lost, he's a lot more realistic (if you can call a dragon realistic) in real life. I saw a bunch of baby dragon pictures online and I thought to myself, I gotta sketch me one of these, they're awesome! So I did.

I liked that last picture of twisted celtic lettering so much that I decided to do another one. And yes, I did use a ruler to make the lines so straight. If you cant read it, it says "Meow."

Legend of Zelda! This is Shiek in the water temple. I know that you never actually see Shiek in the water temple in the game, I just made it up. I saw a rough sketch of Shiek on the internet and realized that I dont have any full pictures of Shiek. So I drew one. I had to go get a screenshot from Ocarina of Time to figure out what Shiek's harp looked like, and I know that in the game Shiek's harp has more strings, but I decided to stick to five cause you only ever play five notes in the game anyway.

I stumbled across an awesome artist online who only uses pencil to draw with, but somehow manages to achieve a completely photorealistic (albeit black and white) affect. I decided that it was high time that I stopped goofing off with cartoony anime and started working on my realism skills. So I got a photo of a cat and drew it. It didn't turn out as realistic as I would have wanted, but I'm proud of it anyway. The cat is lying down.

So I decided to draw spiderman, simply because he is awesome. I had to get a reference for his pose, but I love the way he turned out.

Yay for made up fantasy animals! I'm not sure what this thing is. I think its a mixture between a baby unicorn, and a baby kelpie. The unicorn part coming in through the horn and the fur, the kelpie part coming in through the scales and chest plates. If you dont know, a kelpie is an aquatic horse that is immortal and extremely evil and enjoys drowning people, especially if those people are male or royalty. The combination of a unicorn and a kelpie has to be a first though, since unicorns are the purest animal, and kelpies are one of the evilest animals. There's so much detail lost in this scan! But even so I still think this is awesome.

I drew this during a very emotional time of my life (a little over a year ago) where I was trying to stop isolating myself from making new friends. Its one of my favorite pictures that I've ever drawn. I drew it completely without reference, unless you count my own hand as a reference. I was trying to achieve a level of realism that I knew I could do, but had never done before. There's a lot of symbolism in this work. And again, the scan does not do it justice.

I've drawn a few more pictures since I last scanned my sketches in, I havent gotten around to putting them in the computer though. Maybe once I draw a few more I will. Hope you guys enjoy.
