In search for a saber

(( I'll probably be to lazy to finish this story. ))

After Knight Ek had left the Order, wanderlust hit him. He scoured the galaxy for many years, visiting many planets. He was searching. Searching for what he needed most: hapiness. But where you do find hapiness? Ek didn't know, but he wasn't going to stop searching until he had found it!

One of the many planets he visited was Dathomir. Dathomir made him realize that he had already found hapiness. And that he had turned his back on it. He had been happy in the Jedi Order, the place he started his many travels.

As Ek landed on the planet, he shivered. He didn't know what it was he felt, but he didn't like it. But, as he was in need for fuel, he didn't have a choice. As he made sure his ship was locked tight, Ek sensed a huge beast approaching. Quickly turning around, Ek suddenly remembered something about Dathomir. Aside from the friendly Kwi that lived on the planet, Dathomir was also the home of the mighty Rancor...

Ek quickly reached with his hand for his waist, something he hadn't done for years. He was reaching for his saber. Feeling nothing but his belt, it occured to him that he hadn't had a saber for about 20 years. Vaguely smiling, Ek turned around, now facing the rancor. Thinking that the rancor was unusually big, he turned around once again and began to run.

After a few hours of running, Ek found himself to be completly lost, thank the Force there were no signs of the rancor any more. Catching his breath, Ek sat under a tree. Having lost his ship and his dignity in a few hours, things weren't looking so good for him. He stood up, finishing his meditation. He had found something close by that might be interesting. Walking through the woods, Ek remembered his time as a Jedi. Having cut all ties with the temple, he wondered how everybody was doing. Thinking back to the Order felt good, although he didn't like his memories of the Master Menelaos Master Menelaos. Suddenly, the trees made room for a small trail.

Following the small trail, Ek suddenly found himself at the edge of the woods. He had wondered why he hadn't felt as many lifeforms up ahead as he did in the woods, and now the answer stood before him.

The trees had made way for huge plains, tall grass grew as far as the eye could reach. The wind rolled through the grass. Ek noticed a grand lake, a little to the west. The trail seemed to go that way.

Ek smiled. Such a nice day it was. Wouldn't it be great to just to lay down in the grass, and to never get back up? Ek considered this for a while, looking over the great plains, and just when he was about to lay down he noticed a tiny hut next to the lake. Forgetting his previous plan, Ek began to run to the hut.

The trip took him longer that he thought. And when Ek arrived, the sun was down. Ek carefully walked up to the hut, slowing his pace. Sensing forward with the Force he noticed that there was only one person in the hut. Earlier he had sensed great power near the hut, he figured there would have been three or four people living in it. Now finding out there was only one, Ek was surpirsed. Someone with such a strong connection with the Force, in a place like this.

There was no need to approach slowly any longer, so Ek straightened his back. Someone so strong must have felt Ek coming. Ek sat down in front of the hut entrance, and waited. As hours past, so did Ek's meditation trance increase. When the fourth moon of Dathomir had risen, a man appeared from the hut.

The small Sullustan wore a lightsaber on his belt. He smiled at me, and invited me inside with a wave of his hand. I got on my feet, and bowed to him. Since the Sullustan was only about a meter tall, it was a bit hard to get inside. When I did get inside tho, I could easily stand up straight. Not that it was of any use, as the Sullustan sat down immediately. I followed, and then the Sullustan began to speak, in a weird accent. ''Greetings!'' The Sullustan had an upbeat voice, and sounded happy. I laughed.

The Jedi Master told me about his mission on Dathomir. Pim Tomb (his name) had been ordered by the council to watch over Dathomir, to make sure it was doing okay. He had been here for decades, meditating and watching over the planet dear to him. Ek wondered how long he had been alone. Silence fell. Master Pim looked at the blue Twi'lek, smiling.

It was his turn, time for his story. For a split second Ek thought about lying to Master Pim, but why would he? Ek told him, everything, that had been going on in the past few years. But he also told him about his time at the Order, and even before that.

Ek finished his story. He had talked for a long, long time. The Sullustan had only listened, smiling from time to time to let Ek know he was listening. There was little left of the fire. Ek wondered why there was a fire in his house. The planet was rather warm on itself, so it wasn't really necessary. And also, since Sullustans could see perfectly fine with just the smallest amounts of light. Why did he set up a fire? ''Master, did you make this fire for me?'' Pim replied. ''Yes, I have.'' Ek was amazed, how could he have known Ek was coming? Master Pim kept smiling to Ek. With a wave of his hand, he guided Ek to a bed. ''We'll get you some food tomorrow. Good night, Ek.''
