Application
« on: December 09, 2011, 12:59 AM »
Hello everybody,

my name is (old) Ben and I would like to apply to your guild.

I´ve been playing SWG for ages. Stopped shortly after the CU. The butchery of SWG still weighs heavy on my heart so I´m all the more happy about SWTOR being (at least for me and so far) a great game.

I also played WoW extensively and took part in competitive PvP until the rat race became pointless for me.

I got interested in the role playing part of MMOs about two years ago but couldn´t find a fitting setting for me. There was just no glove that would fit.

I really like the idea of the Jedi Sage and would like to play one. But due to my martial arts background a sentinel is on the list as well.

Even though I do not have as much time to play as I like to (due to my martail arts training), I hope that there might be a spot for me within your guild.

I used to be a borderline hardcore gamer back in the day but now I´m afraid that weekends will be my main play time.
I have martial arts classes every evening during the week and usually sundays too. But my sensei already told me to tone down the (external) training a bit so now might be the time :P

I hope that´s enough information about me and that we will see each other in the game.

If there are any questions I´ll be happy to answer them.

PS: I have pre-ordered the game and registered my key 21.07. So I hope I´ll get the full 5 days head start.

Padawan Tomius please refrain from posting in other peoples applications, while it is kind of you to try and be helpful and welcoming to keep things clean and to the point only the applicant, recruiting team or Council are permitted to post in applications. There are other means as to which you may assist or welcome new applicants, this rule is currently not visible in this section so I understand that you was not aware of it.

Welcome to the forum, MuShin! Don't worry about not being a hardcore gamer, most of us here aren't either. We play to have fun and have a good community!

A good section to read to start learning about JO is Our Code. A lot of the information is mostly relevant to the Jedi Knight series, which is what we used to play (we will be adapting it for TOR), so if something doesn't make sense, that's probably why.

As Master Yanto stated, if you have any questions, contact any councilor (those with ,C at the end of their name) or members of the Recruiting team (they have -R on their rank). Any of our other members would be happy to help as well, I'm sure.

Thanks for registering and applying and I look forward to getting to know you!

How are you doing MuShin?

Hi and thanks for asking,

actually I´ve just had the worst christmas in my life with my aunt dying just a couple of days before christmas.

At this point I´m a bit...can´t explain it. Must be a depression since I have no drive to do anything.

So I hope you guys don´t think that I was one of these "hit and run" guys. Would´ve loved to be with you in game but that´s just not possible for me.

As soon the emotional dust settles I´m sure the addiction will kick back in.

So have fun and kick some imp buttocks.

Well, I´m "sort of" back and wanted to ask what the oplicy on multiple characters in the guild is. Cos when I logged in my Sage it felt pretty weird and on the other hand the Sentinel I played a bit before seemed to fit like a glove. So if I was to go with my gut feeling I would say that I should play the Sentinel for now and I would very much like to do so in the The Jedi Order.

PS: I might have found a Roleplayer on the server...yes...they do exist and might even apply to the guild soon :D

As for your question. The policy we've laid out for years now is you may switch your Characters name once as a padawan. If you have plans for your Main to be your sentinel then i would suggest that. Whatever the name of your main character in-game will be the name we will recognize you as.

Let us know if anything changes with your name as ill need it to invite you into the guild.

Personally i am impressed by your will to join the order. Regardless of inactive for a short while, You motive was to come back here and let us know. Even then you've continued to pursue a place within the Order. Keep it up MuShin, let us know if you have more question while we finish reviewing your application.

May the force guide you!

Hello and Thank you for your answere.

Under these circumstances I´ll have to consider carefully if I change my "main". Too bad I always play multiple characters. It´s even worse in this game cos all classes have a certain appeal to me.

But is it possible to have alts in the guild and how are they handeled?

Alts are gonna be open to members.. the details we havent really gotten done yet. we do have to remain a certain roleplay within the alts and main. Connecting them some how.. as to remember all characters you make on the server will have the last name.
