Looking for someone to create a skin!

Greetings!

I would love to have my own skin! However, I am absolutely no good at that area at all!
Is there anyone that is able and talented enough to create a skin for me?!

I am simply looking for a humanoid skin, you can use my profile avatar as example.
Please note that I would love to have a skin of myself with and without hood.

Head.


Torso.


Legs.


Oh yeah, please use the colors in the pictures aswell, however I don't need any luxury decorations!
That should cover it all! :D
Hopefully someone can help me out!

I think it's been a while since we had a skinner! Having a hood also means the skinner either needs a model that comes with a hood, or model one of his own, and we haven't had a modeller in... Years... I'd suggest you looking at some tutorials yourself! :D

Yeah, since Master Mei-Oh is still busy with Master Miridius's skin, you might want to look elsewhere.

Seriously speaking, you could try to find a suitable model from jk3files, and then let someone re-paint it for you. That'd save tons of work, and tons of time. I have a feeling if you are too demanding on your skin, you will never get one :P

I'm better at making weapons than characters, I'm afraid. Also, I tend towards a much higher resolution than JKA can support :P

But as Master Scalarik suggested, check out jk3files: there are hundreds of skins already made, and I'm sure you can find something to your liking ;)

Okay well, a couple things:

Firstly, modelling in JKA is very tricky and if you're looking for specifics, you'd need a modeller! Otherwise, we usually work with what we've been given by other modellers (you can find loads of examples on that site).

Secondly, I COULD give it a another go- it's been a very long time (I made my own skin), but it'd be awesome to give you one to call your own. If no one else steps up, I'd happily try. :)

As we discussed yesterday night, I also COULD give it a try... and I'll probably will work to modify existing skin/texture.

No experience and almost no knowledge from my side, so don't expect wonders from this guy!

Ok, after a lot of digging, clicking on dead links and excavating stuff I have arrived to the conclusion that I'll not do the modelling. At least, for now. Converting long-dead formats and resolving incredible compatibility difficulties is too much for now, also I have no modelling knowledge yet. It would take too long.

I'll stick to a reskin, and focus for it to be well made.

As a base, I will use the XaoXing pack (used by yourself padawan AleckH and by master Scalarik, as far as I've seen). It's versatile, offers many versions, and there are hooded versions of it. I have enough knowledge to produce an alpha skin by the end of the week.

Oh, btw, if someone's interested, I've by case discovered the {O}rder forums (whose map we use) - http://forums.ordergaming.org/ They also have a wiki.

All right, I've started working on the texture of the head. Observation 1: Obi-wan had a LOT of features on that face.



Edit: another alpha, I flipped the hair. Looks slightly better.

Another update.

Tonight I'm stopping working on the face, I've made all I can do without modifying the model. I've laid out the robe, and tomorrow the robe painting will start! Hopefully by the end of the day I'll make the beta :)

And a first stub for the logo. You need one, if you want to be respected, right? :D



EDIT: Oh yeah, I've also tried it out in-game (before putting on the robe). Looks good!
